DRUGS with an estimated street value of over £31,000 have been seized by Locality Policing Officers in the Garnock Valley.
Acting in response to concerns raised by the local community regarding drug dealing and drug misuse in the area, officers were granted a search warrant by a Sheriff.
About 6.50pm on Thursday, March 9, officers recovered a quantity of alleged class B drugs and a four figure sum of cash during a search of a property in Laburnum Avenue, Beith.
A 31 year old man has since been arrested for allegedly being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs. A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Sergeant Murdoch, of the GarnockValley Locality Policing Team, said “Drug dealing and drug misuse are among our communities top concerns.
“With the continued support of local people we can get more drugs off our streets and bring those involved in the supply of drugs to justice.
‘If anyone has information or concerns about crime they should contact the Garnock Valley Locality Policing Team on 101 - in an emergency always dial 999. “
