Beith Bowling Club Ladies held their annual opening day on Saturday, April 29.
Acting President Mrs Margaret Irvine welcomed the members and visitors present, then asked the committee members and new members to join her on the green.
A minute’s silence was held in respect of members and friends who are no longer with us.
President Warnock Longridge set the Jack thrown by Margaret Irvine who threw two bowls very close to the jack and declared the green open.
One of the Glengarnock Ladies had the first Toucher and won a prize. After a day mixed with clouds and rain the Ladies finished Bowling and retired to the Club house for more refreshments and to sit down for their meal.
Match Secretary Anne McCorquadale read out the winners and runners up and had every one in stiches with her speech which was giving a loud applause.Anne thanked everyone for attending and also Stevie McPhaill for coming to serve at the bar, Adam Calderwood for giving out the hospitality and Warnock Longridge for taking the photos and every one in General who helped to make the day a success
A good day with good company and good food had everyone happy at close of day.
