THE community of Beith dressed up in Victorian and Regency costume to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the local Townhouse.
Monday, May 20 was the building’s bicentenary and Beith Cultural Heritage Society celebrated the milestone with a colourful parade.
Led by Halberdier Jim McCartan, the procession marched from the Community Gardens in Mitchell Street to the iconic Townhouse for a Rededication Ceremony.
It was a fantastic occasion for the crowds who came out to see the grand parade.
Well done to the organisers - and here’s to the next 200 years of the Beith Townhouse!
