OVER 30 organisations turned out for the latest jobs fair in North Ayrshire.
Organised by the Job Centre Plus, the event took place last Wednesday in Beith with the aim of helping people to get work or back into employment whilst discussing options with potential employers.
Tom Gilligan, the Employer and Partnership Manager at Irvine Job Centre, said: “It was a good day with good partnership working between the DWP, North Ayrshire Council and Skills Development Scotland.
“A number of CVs were taken and some interviews were organised and we hope to hear some stories of people going on to get work. It was a very successful day.”
Over 200 people attended meaning it was high percentage considering the local population. The events are held throughout North Ayrshire and are a great way of engagement and helping locals get the jobs they desire.
