A WOMAN who tried to pick a fight with police, assaulted two officers, and failed to appear at court while on bail has been remanded in custody.
Jan McAllister, 25, from Beith, pled guilty to three charges at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
On April 26 at her home in Mains Road, McAllister behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, shouted, swore, challenged police officers to a fight, struggled violently, and uttered threats of violence.
On the same date at Mains Road, McAllister attempted to kick two police officers on the body.
The following day McAllister, being an accused person and having been granted bail, failed without reasonable excuse to appear at court.
Sentence was deferred until August 16 due to other matters calling. McAllister was remanded in custody until then, bail having been refused.
