THE Scottish SPCA is seeking the owner of a tortoiseshell cat who was found on Ballieston Avenue in Kilbirnie.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity was alerted to the cat by a concerned member of public. He is now being cared for at their Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.
Animal Rescue Officer Sheena MacTaggart said: “The cat, called William by staff, is in quite a sorry state.
“He had been hanging around the member of the public’s house for around four days. He is very underweight which we’re concerned may be due to an ongoing medical condition.
“We’re hoping that someone recognises him/her and gets in touch as soon as possible.”
Anyone who recognises William is being urged to contact the Scottish SPCA’s animal helpline on 03000 999 999.
