A man who admitted to racist, sectarian and homophobic behaviour has been remanded in custody.
John Townsley, 26, of Dalry’s Peden Avenue, pled guilty to three charges at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
Townsley behaved in a threatening or abusive manner on November 15 at Burnhouse Avenue in Dalry, and within the Accident and Emergency department of Crosshouse Hospital.
He shouted, swore, acted in an aggressive manner, uttered homophobic, sectarian and racial remarks, and repeatedly uttered threats of violence.
Townsley also attempted to bite two police officers while at the hospital on the same date.
The case was adjourned for reports until December 5. Townsley was remanded in custody, bail having been refused.
