A KILBIRNIE couple are hoping it will be third time lucky as they go for a prestigious award.

Ultimate Moments Videography have been nominated for the finals of the 2018 Confetti Awards in the Videographer of the year category.

Owners Derek and Maureen Sweeney reached the Gala Final in 2016 and 2017 and will be hoping that 2018 is their year.

And they are also delighted to have been nominated in the best Wedding Show category having organised and hosted our first wedding fayre which took place at the Romeo & Juliet Inn, Dalry in October.

Ultimate Moments Videography was established six years ago by Derek and the company film in the region of 100 weddings a year.

As well as being nominated for the Confetti Awards three times, we have also been nominated for the Scottish Wedding Awards on four occasions and in 2015 were voted Most Popular Wedding Videographer in the UK at the Wedding Industry Experts Awards.

The husband and wife team are exceptionally passionate about their work and the love the fact that every wedding is different.

Derek said: “We are so lucky to be involved in such a wonderful industry and to be continually recognised for all the hard work and effort we put in to filming and editing.

“The editing process does take time but we love seeing it all come together and ensure that our clients are left with a lifetime of memories and moments they will cherish forever.

“It is very much a 24/7 job but we love it with a passion and with our diary full for 2018 and 2019, we have a lot more to look forward to over the next few years.

“This year we also re launched our web site and introduced our Drone Service in conjunction with Aero Pixel, which gives your wedding film the extra WOW factor.

“2018 will also see the launch of a few new exciting ideas and projects that we have been working on over the last few months.

“I think what makes us so popular is our bespoke personal service and exceptionally discreet and unobtrusive way of filming, in fact almost all of the feedback we receive from delighted clients is that they didn’t even know we were there filming on the day!

“With regards the Wedding fayre, we wanted that to be a friendly, personable and memorable experience for both the exhibitors and the people who attended on the day, and it seems to have worked having been nominated for the Best Wedding Show.

“The feedback we received from everyone was brilliant and we are now looking forward to attending the finals and to hosting our next wedding fayre on February 18th at the Romeo & Juliet Inn, Dalry 1-4pm.

“We will have a few surprises on the day and some of the biggest wedding suppliers in the industry exhibiting.
