A young driver has avoided a jail term after causing a collision which saw two people seriously injured.
Alex Harrison drove a car dangerously at Fudstone Drive in Kilbirnie on February 7 of last year.
The 24-year-old failed to maintain proper observations, failed to maintain proper control of his car and collided with another car.
The driver and passenger in the other car, a husband and wife, sustained serious injury.
Harrison, of Kilbirnie’s Byre Court, was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work as an alternative to a custodial sentence.
He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for a period of two years.
