A Beith dad who spent much of his childhood in hospital with severe asthma has raised over £2,000 by running two marathons.
Paul Wilson completed the London and Stirling marathons in support of Asthma UK. As reported previously in the Herald, 43-year-old Paul turned his life around after shedding seven stone.
He said: “Thanks to everyone who donated. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey, but I’m not finished with it yet. I plan to do the Three Peaks Challenge as well as the Brighton Marathon.
“I’m going to keep this going, keeping my own health while raising for Asthma UK. I’ve raised more than I ever imagined which is great. It’s just fantastic.”
