Royalty for the Garnock Valley

PRINCE Charles is heading for the Garnock Valley this Friday.

His Royal Highness, who takes a keen interest in organic farming and other 'green' issues, will formally open the largest combined organic waste treatment and energy generating facility in Scotland at Barkip on the outskirts of Dalry.

The Duke of Rothesay - to use his official title in Scotland - will tour the plant and meet staff before unveiling a plaque.
