Transport chiefs revealed the funding will subsidise the vital service

BEITH'S Garnock Valley 'school run' buses have been saved for another three years.

Transport chiefs announced this week that they would be continuing to subsidise this and other vital services in a half-million-pound-plus deal following a meeting.

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport agreed to the move on Friday at a meeting of their operations committee and said later they will maintain key public transport links across four council areas from this month.
