ACCLAIMED Gaelic singer Maggie MacInnes is appearing with Largs Gaelic Choir at Beith Community Centre on Saturday, March 22.
Both Maggie and the choir are National Mod winners.
They will present both Scots and Gaelic music which will entertain every taste. Maggie is one of Scotland’s foremost Gaelic singers and clarsach players.
She comes from a long line of singers from the island of Barra in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
Large Gaelic Choir was formed by Wilma Scouller in 1980 with a core of members from her former church choir from Uplawmoor which had successfully competed as a rural choir in the Mod. Wilma was conductor for 27 years.
The choir is now conducted by ex-soprano Elspeth Howie, who took over in 2007.
Tickets are £6 from 01505 506194 or on the door.
Tea, coffee and snacks are available in the interval and you are welcome to bring your own refreshments.
