A MAN has appeared in court accused of numerous assaults and threatening behaviour in Dalry.

Sean McMorland, 29, of Park Place, Irvine is said to have been in Dalry on September 21 where he assaulted his partner by seizing hold of her neck and pushing her.

He is also accused of assaulting three further woman. The first by seizing hold of her neck, pushing her, throwing her over a fence and kicking her on the body, the second by placing her in a headlock and the third by seizing her body and throwing her to the ground.

McMorland is also said to have assaulted a man by punching him repeatedly on his head.

Finally, McMorland is said to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer from fear or alarm at two addresses in Dalry and also whilst travelling to Saltcoats Police Office by shouting, swearing, threatening his partner, damaging household items, seizing a mobile phone and breaking it, repeatedly striking a motor vehicle with his head, punching another vehicle, gesticulating, adopting an aggressive stance and threatening and struggling violently with police officers.

McMorland pled not guilty to all six charges that he faces and will face trial in June of this year.
