A MAN has this week admitted shouting and swearing in A&E in front of 12 other patients, including children.

Mark Rodger, 40 of Mair Avenue in Dalry, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court where it was heard that he arrived at Crosshouse shortly after 9.20am on July 28 where he was suffering from an injury and under the influence of alcohol.

Police officers were there on another matter and Rodger left the hospital but he returned a short time later.

He was asking for a phone number to get through to main section of Accident and Emergency when he began shouting and swearing in front of the other patients, which also included pensioners.

These patients were then moved into another room and the officers were called through.

They went to place Rodger under arrest but he began to struggle but he was eventually taken into custody.

Sheriff Murphy called for a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and Rodger will be sentenced at the end of September.
