A KILBIRNIE man will face trial in the new year after he was accused of assaulting a woman at Tesco.
Gary Joseph Whiteside, 26, of Newhouse Road, is said to have seized a woman by her head and pushed her in the Tesco store in Bridgend on August 4.
Whiteside is also accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the supermarket by shouting and swearing.
Finally, on August 6, he is alleged to have sent text messages to the same woman that were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character.
Not guilty pleas were entered on all three charges and he will face trial in November.
