DALRY teen Amy Shaw has inspired her cousin Emily Eadie – to get her hair shaved off!
Amy, 14, is celebrating 10 years since completing treatment for the childhood cancer Rhabdomyosarcoma or RMS.
She underwent months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy which caused her hair to fall out.
Emily, 15, from Skelmorlie, has always had a great admiration for her cousin’s bravery, so she decided have her luscious locks shorn for The Little Princess Trust to make wigs for young people who are having cancer treatment.
Amy’s mum Dianne said: “We are very proud of Emily – she has done such a great thing in order to help other young people.” So far Emily has raised over £1,000 and this is rising daily.
