BEITH Post Office is moving to the Nisa store in Eglinton Street from Monday, January 12.

The new open-plan service which opens at 1pm has been designed to offer a more spacious environment accessible to disabled customers with an entry ramp, power assisted doors and a low level writing desk.

There will be three counter positions – one screened, one open-plan and an open-plan Post Office terminal by the shop’s retail till offering selected Post Office services.

The new branch is within 50 metres of a local bus stop and offers parking facilities that include two dedicated disabled spaces.

The branch will be open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, with selected Post Office products and services available from the retail counter during throughout shop opening hours extending the access to Post Office services from 6am to 10pm Monday through to Sunday.

This increase in hours offers customers a much wider choice of times to visit Customers can access a wide range of Post Office and mail services, including Special Delivery, Local Collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals Other services include Post Office Card Account withdrawals, Moneygram cash transfers, and customers can pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.

The current Beith Post Office at 2 Eglington Crescent will close at 1pm on Saturday, January 10.

During the short period of closure before the new branch is operational Post Office services may be accessed from any convenient Post Office branch in Main Street, Dalry and Main Street, Kilbirnie.
