A BEITH man will find out his fate next month after he admitted growing cannabis in his home earlier this year. Kilmarnock Sheriff Court heard how Craig Murdoch, of the town’s Eglinton Street, had his home attended by police officers on another matter on Februrary 18 of this year.
Murdoch was there with others and the court was told that as the police were searching to see if anyone else was there, they found a small cultivation of cannabis containing six plants and various growing equipment. Murdoch was taken to the local police office where he was interviewed and said that the drugs were for his own personal use.
The cannabis was valued between £200 and £600. Sentence was deferred until April 20 for reports.
