LAST Sunday saw non ped Kilwinning dogs, Barney, Chase, Penny and Susie head off to Shildon in County Durham to compete in the B.W.R.A. Lord Byron open.

The Kilwinning dogs put in winning performances across the day with Susie “Toodaloo” owned by club member John Kelly (pictured), running to take the puppy final, with his other dog Penny “Penny Arcade” just being pipped at the post to take home second spot in the yearling final.

Taking home the prize in the yearling scratch final was Chase “Blue Flyer” owned by club member Keeran McAtee.

It was little Barney “Thin White Duke” (pictured with breeder Wendy Potts from Maltby WRC) who came out on top not only winning the 25lb dog class, winning the overall dog run off before running to a photo finish in the main final and winning the Supreme Final by a wet nose to take home the Lord Byron Plate.

Congratulations to all of Kilwinning’s dogs once again, these dogs are firmly putting Kilwinning WRC on the racing map.
