PUPILS from St Luke’s Primary took part in their school show last week.
All pupils from primary five took part in performance on Tuesday, June 6, which aimed to raise awareness of the struggles of dyslexic pupils when trying to read.
The play was situated in a library and featured book characters coming to life in the night, helping the words get off the page for dyslexic children.
Pupils also took part in eight drama workshops prior to the performance. Head teacher Fiona McKenzie told the Herald: “It went really well, it was really well received by parents
“It was called Class Act by Elaine Cramond. I have worked with her previously at another school, her child is dyslexic and she is dyslexic.
Her son also played the young Jack in Still Game. “The play was about building confidence and self esteem, as well as being inclusive to all children.”
