LOCAL theatre company Capall Dorcha finished their 13-school tour across North Ayrshire and Arran when they visited Kilwinning Academy with their Physical Theatre Workshop.
In total over 300 young people have taken part in the theatre workshop being the biggest the organisation has delivered, and since the social enterprise was founded in 2015, a total of 1,100 young people in North Ayrshire have taken part in a theatre arts activity for free.
Following on from this tour the organisation is providing a weeklong Physical Theatre workshop in Ardrossan for young people in Primary 5 – S6 who would like to work with the company learning physical theatre skills with a short performance at the end of the week.
Executive Creative Producer Barry Robertson said: “This year’s workshop tour is the largest that the organisation has delivered across North Ayrshire and Arran. With thanks to our supporters it allows this year’s event to be free of charge.
“Currently, just over half of the allocated places have been registered for our workshop week in Ardrossan on August 7-12, and I recommend anyone who is interested in registering now to guarantee a place during the summer holidays.”
