HUNDREDS of people flocked to Kilwinning Sports Club this week for a family fun day.

Kids and parents joined in the fun at the club on Monday for the Children in Need free fun day which was put on in association with KA Leisure, North Ayrshire Council, Irvine Housing Association, Children in Need and Riverside Foundation.

Youngsters were able to join in the day full of sports and fun activities such as football, tennis, hockey, golf and lots of different bouncy castles and inflatables including Jenga, an assault course and inflatable dual and a special guest appearance from Pudsey. There was also a Walking Football Match which was a huge success.

Claire Hodge, Healthy Young Lives Co-ordinator at Kilwinning Sports Club, said: “Our Free Family Fun Day was well attended by the local community and was a great success.

“It was great to see so many kids and members of the local community having fun, being active and getting involved in our various sports taster sessions. We hope to see many of these new young faces attending our Free After School activities.

“A special guest appearance from Pudsey also went down a treat and a great day of fun and activities was enjoyed by all.

“We would like to thank KA Leisure, Children in Need and Riverside Foundation for making this event possible.”
