KILWINNING Community Fireworks is back this year, bigger and better than ever.

The event, which takes place on Sunday, November 5 at McGavin Park, will see two displays held on the same night.

Organisers, Kilwinning Community Events, have arranged a first, shorter, low noise display at 6pm, for young families and those who like to see fireworks but without the bangs.

The big 18 minute display will be after 6.45pm which promises to be one of the best displays in the area.

Organisers say people should try to arrive early as possible. The main car park is at Kilwinning College.

Blue Badge holders are asked to park at Kilwinning Academy. The fairground will be open from 4.30pm and entertainment on stage from 5pm with five local musical artists plus free balloon art and fire acts.

Revellers are asked not to bring rucksacks or large bags as this will cause delays at access as there will be security checks.

Please ensure all young children have an adults’ contact details - and everyone should bring a torch.

Kilwinning Community Events wish to extend thanks to the public and partners, North Ayrshire Council, Whitehirst and Woodside Community Association, Kilwinning Rotary, Pennyburn TARA, Pennyburn Community Association, Ancho Housing, Blacklands Community Association, Irvine Housing Association, Thornie Tree Temperance LOL 103 and from the National Lottery with funding.
