KILWINNING’S Corsehill Primary is on the shortlist for a Scottish Education Award.
They are one of three schools competing for the Parents as Partners in Learning award.
The other finalist are Mariner Support Service from Falkirk and Prestonpans Infant School from East Lothian. Corsehill Primary School was applauded for its efforts in encouraging parents to be partners in their child’s education through a number of initiatives.
One nomination stated: “Parents are valued as key partners and Corsehill Primary supports them to learn skills that will empower them.
"Parents are gaining volunteering and classroom assistant qualifications in order to return to work or help out with extra-curricular clubs and groups.”
