KILWINNING residents and fitness buffs dug deep into their pockets as they rallied in support of a new Ayrshire charity.

Throughout the year residents of Irvine Housing Association's West Doura Court sheltered housing complex saved up their change and presented The Anthony O'Brien Quinn Memorial Trust - known as 'The AQ trust' - with a cheque for £50 last week.

The charity, which was established in March by Janice and Pat Quinn and staff at Irvine Housing Association in memory of Pat and Janice's son, Anthony, who died suddenly in 2010.
