Conundrum over best way to remove gum from pedestrianised areas
CHEWING gum and spilled soft drinks are causing a sticky situation in Kilwinning Main Street.
Street cleaners are chewing over whether special blades attached to street cleaning machines will help remove the gum from the town's pedestrianised area.
North Ayrshire Council officers are due to present a report at the next Kilwinning Area Committee meeting on how the surface can be kept clean.
