A 17 YEAR old has appeared in court accused of attempting to bite a police officer.
Alexis Cunningham of Church Drive, Kilwinning, denied assault against a policeman in the execution of his duties by repeatedly trying to bite him.
She is also accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer from fear or alarm, in Townhead Street, Stevenston last month by shouting, swearing and punching a bus stop.
Cunningham is accused of a third charge, which she also denied, in that she did resist, obstruct or hinder two police officers in the execution of their duty by struggling violently, tensing her arms and lashing out with her arms and legs.
The teenager will face trial for the charges towards the end of the year in Kilmarnock.
