A POLISH binman from Kilwinning has admitted racially abusing two police officers as well as assaulting another last month.

Grzegorz Czarniecki, 38, of Corsehill, had police officers attend at his address in relation to his mother and concerns for her health but all was in order.

He was asked to come out and he refused and began to shout and swear, stating he wasn’t coming out, he wasn’t speaking English and said: “Go away you c***s.” He continued to make similar remarks before he was detained and taken to Saltcoats Police Office. When Czarniecki arrived there, he was heard to be shouting: “F*****g Scottish p****s, f**k you, you Scottish c***s.” Thereafter, the father of two assaulted another police officer by kicking him on the body.

Czarnieki’s lawyer stated that his client was heavily under the influence of alcohol and had no real recollection of the event. He was ashamed and apologised to officers for his conduct.

His lawyer admitted his record has no favours and a lot of previous offending was of a domestic nature.

Sheriff McDonald said: “You need to learn to control your temper and maybe stop drinking. Your record does you no favour. It’s assaults.” Reports from the social work department were called for before the Sheriff added: “I may order you to pay money to the police officer you kicked.” The case was adjourned until next month.
