KEEPING IT IN THE FAMILY
Wife of MSP is now candidate
THE SNP are aiming for a rare two-Parliament family double act after the announcement that Patricia Gibson, wife of MSP Kenneth, has been selected as their candidate for North Ayrshire & Arran at the next General Election.
Forty-one-year-old Mrs Gibson, who worked as an English Teacher for 16 years before being elected to Glasgow City Council in 2007, will be up against sitting MP Katy Clark, the Conservatives" Philip Lardner and others when Prime Minister Gordon Brown eventually goes to the country.
'The SNP is looking forward to the Westminster election. We will fight a positive campaign," she said.
