PATIENT WAIT LIST FURY
Complaints prompt overhaul at surgery
THE manager of Ardrossan's South Beach Surgery is this week reassuring patients that appointment shortages should ease from December 7.
Patients at the practice have been complaining about the length of time they have had to wait for appointments and last week one man was told he would have to wait four weeks for a routine check-up.
He told the Herald: "Many people who go to the surgery will know if you are wishing to make a routine appointment at the South Beach surgery the usual waiting time is about two to three weeks."
Practice manager Lindsay Steele believes the problem will ease once their new appointment system is in full swing.
