THE Junior Football season will NOT be finished before the FIFA World Cup kicks off in South Africa on June 11.

That was the message from Scottish Junior Football Association secretary Tom Johnston this week as the Junior card was wiped out after another weekend of hard frost.

But the SJFA have not ruled out the possibility of summer football in future years although insist there will be no "knee-jerk" reaction to the recent catalogue of postponements during what has been the coldest winter in three decades,
