The mystery of the missing road hump
A MISSING road hump is causing boy racers to tear up and down a busy Beith street with residents fearing there could be an accident.
Those living in Eglinton Street say the road is now being treated like a racing track because of the hump which has been missing since January.
One resident explained: "The traffic calming hump on the northbound side of Eglinton Street was uprooted in January. Unfortunately irresponsible motorists are treating the missing hump as a chicane, swerving on to the opposite lane to avoid passing over the remaining hump."
