VICTIM FOUND AT PHONE BOX
POLICE launched a manhunt this week after the brutal murder of a young Ardrossan dad in Stevenston town centre.
The shocking incident - believed to have been the result of a knife attack - took place just before four o'clock on Sunday morning.
Scott Margery (27) was discovered by a passing motorist lying in a pool of blood at a telephone box in Main Street. The emergency services were alerted and he was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital, where he was later declared dead.
Unconfirmed reports said that Mr Margery, who is believed to have had a young daughter, had attempted to call 999 after being stabbed.
