Traffic nightmare for Three Towns?

THREATENED road closures in the Three Towns are set to make it even more difficult for traffic to move between Saltcoats and Stevenston.
With temporary traffic lights currently in operation in at Canal Street in Saltcoats and at the junction between High Road and Sharphill Road, North Ayrshire Council say that part of nearby Guthrie Road and Ivanhoe Drive are set to be closed to traffic altogether. NAC say that the closure on Ivanhoe Drive - close to the Treetops Nursery, Focus Community Learning Centre and Mayfield Primary School - will be place from April 16 until May 8, while the Guthrie Road closure - close to the Evolution Skatepark, Auchenharvie Leisure Centre and Auchenharvie Academy - will be in place from April 11 until May 9.
