Family survive blaze that engulfed stables

A FAMILY and their horses had a miraculous escape after a Kilwinning riding stables went up in the flames in the early hours of Thursaday.
Greg and Kerry Rankin and their two young children were fast asleep as a massive fire raced through the outbuildings at Gateside Farm between Kilwinning and Dalry - and reckons the fact that the same firefighters had been at the stables a couple of months earlier could have saved their lives.
