'TERRIBLE STINK' CONCERNS AT LANDFILL

ENVIRONMENT watchdogs SEPA are investigating bad smells apparently emanating from the Knowes Farm landfill site on the outskirts of Beith.

Residents in Beith, Kilbirnie and Lochwinnoch say they are being plagued with an unpleasant stink.

Locals say they had contacted the Scottish Environment Protection Agency about the pong and that investigators have been sent out there.
