DRIVERS in North Ayrshire are being left out of pocket as they pay up to seven pence a litre more for petrol than commuters in Glasgow.

Figures from the Herald reveal prices for petrol can also vary greatly within the same company depending on the location of the gas station.

Supermarket giants Tesco and Morrison's offer unleaded petrol at 134.9 in Kilbirnie and Kilwinning store respectively while stations in Glasgow were offering 130.9 per litre, based on figures from last week.
