DURING the season of goodwill a specialist care facility in Kilbirnie, run by the Salvation Army, has been praised for changing the lives of people across North Ayrshire.

The Salvation Army's George Steven Centre offer a range of activities for adults with learning disabilities and members have stepped up to thanks the facility for their help.

Tom Mitchell first visited the centre with his parents six years ago and he hasn't looked back since.
