GEMIMA Wyllie was 'delighted' when she receive a card from the Queen to officially mark her 100th birthday last week.

"I have admired her since she was a lassie," the Stevenston-born centenarian said.

Family and friends threw Gemima a party in the Shalom Nursing Home in Dreghorn, where she now resides, on Wednesday, December 28.
