Three vehicles in morning crash

A DRIVER was airlifted to hospital after a three-way crash at an 'accident blackspot' in Beith on Tuesday morning.

Two cars and an articulated lorry were involved in the collision on the A737 at 7.20am which resulted in one driver being flown by helicopter to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley with injuries to his pelvis and leg.

Another patient with a chest injury was also transported to the hospital by ambulance.
