Dalry war hero honoured at a ceremony in France.

A NORTH Ayrshire war hero has been honoured in a moving ceremony in France.

Rifleman Hugh McIntyre, or Dalry, took part in the Breneval Raid during World War ll.

Also known as Operation Biting, the raid took out an important German radar installation near Le Havre and established what the Nazis' capabilities were in that field - as well as how their ability to view allied aircraft and ships could be blocked.
