BENEFIT CHANGES COULD MEAN LOSS OF £10 PER WEEK SAYS MSP

TORY changes to housing benefit will impact heavily on people in North Ayrshire - and it won't just be the 15,000 on housing benefit who suffer.

That's the view of Cunninghame South MSP Margaret Burgess who spoke in a debate on Housing Benefit Reform at Holyrood on Wednesday, March 21.

Focusing on one aspect of the Coalition Government's changes, she said that in North Ayrshire about 3,000 people will be affected and will lose up to £10 a week, simply because of the single occupancy rule.
