THREE ex-members of the Scottish Parliament will be among those seeking election to North Ayrshire Council at the elections on May 3.

Labour's former Cunninghame North MSP Allan Wilson is standing for the Party on his home turf of Kilbirnie & Beith while Irene Oldfather, who last her Cunninghame South seat at the last Holyrood elections, contests Irvine East.

Campbell Martin, now with the Scottish Socialist Party, was an SNP MSP for less than a year following the 2003 elections before being expelled from the Party. He served the rest of his term as an Independent and joined the SSP in August 2011.
