SHOCK FIGURES SHOW 70 ASSAULTS AT CROSSHOUSE
THERE were SEVENTY incidents of intentional physical assault on staff inside Crosshouse Hospital in the year ending March 31, shocking new figures show.
The disgraceful total has been condemned by NHS Ayrshire & Arran - in the same week the Scottish Ambulance Service attacked the growing number of physical and verbal assaults on paramedics.
Health board human resources director Patricia Leiser said: "NHS Ayrshire & Arran has a zero tolerance policy towards any physical or verbal abuse of our staff."
