YOUNG people participating in the New Start groups for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award had a great time at their annual presentation evening held at Seamill Hydro.

Teenagers from all six groups - and three Open Award groups - across Ayrshire achieved certificates for their Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.

Over the past year the participants have been taking part in a wide range of challenging, educational and fun activities, ranging from beach clean-ups to more adventurous activities like mountain biking, gorge walking and assault courses.
