RAIL CHIEFS APOLOGISE FOR STATE OF AYRSHIRE SERVICE
RAIL chiefs have released an open letter apologising for the disruption to services between Glasgow to Ayrshire during the past 12 months.
The letter, signed by Steve Montgomery, Managing Director of ScotRail and David Simpson, Route Managing Director, Scotland, Network Rail, claimed punctuality and reliability levels have returned to target after the prolonged disruption.
The statement said: "We are sorry that performance between Glasgow and Ayrshire, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde over the past 12 months has been below the level you expect from us."
