A STUNNED mum this week told of her horror at learning that she and her 10-year-old daughter had been living next door to a child sex pervert.

And Catherine Bowman slammed North Ayrshire Council's policy of failing to notify neighbours when convicted paedophiles were moved into busy housing estates.

Amazingly, she only learned her neighbour's true identity after reading about a court case in last week's Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald.
