Shop back in business and staff return

SALTCOATS town centre shop Peacocks are back in business after their parent company was saved by Edinburgh Woollen Mill.

As we predicted earlier this year, the company, based in Langholm in the Borders, have stepped in to secure the majority of troubled chain Peacocks' stores from closure.

The Saltcoats branch was one of those selected to be kept on by EWM boss Philip Day.
