STEVENSTON woman Angela Anderson (pictured) shared her experience of fostering ahead of a national campaign to encourage more people to think about caring for children and teenagers.

North Ayrshire Council recently launched the recrutment campaing during Forster Care Fortnight which runs from May 14 to 25.

Foster Carer Angela (pictured) has been a long-term carer for children aged eight to 17 for the past three-and-a-half years. During that time she and her family cared for 13 young people and she is currently fostering two youngsters.

Her experience has made her aware of both the demands and rewards of foster caring.
